Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Position Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Contact Center Associate to join our team in Kampala. Reporting to the Contact Center Team Leader, this role serves as the primary point of contact between Turaco and its customers. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, educate clients about our insurance products, and upsell or cross-sell services while delivering exceptional customer support.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Telesales & Customer Engagement
Make at least 100 customer calls daily to promote, upsell, or cross-sell Turaco’s insurance products.
Tailor your sales approach to suit individual customer needs and preferences.
Follow up on leads and convert initial contact into sales.
Meet or exceed daily and weekly sales targets.
Customer Support & Contact Center Operations
Provide clear explanations of Turaco’s insurance products, including benefits and payment options.
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries about product features, claims, and account status.
Register new customers and manage data entry tasks as needed.
Offer solutions to customer concerns, ensuring a positive and respectful experience.
Stay up-to-date with all Turaco products and partner offerings to provide accurate information.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
College diploma or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent post-secondary qualification).
Prior experience in telesales, contact centers, or customer-facing roles (retail or service centers) is highly desirable.
Fluent in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
Proficient in using a computer and data entry systems.
Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently, meet targets, and maintain a positive, energetic attitude.
