Position Summary:
The Market Development Officer is responsible for initiating, planning, and executing strategies aimed at promoting the development and growth of Uganda’s insurance sector. This role supports IRA’s mandate by enhancing public awareness, expanding access to insurance, and supporting market innovation and sustainability.

How to Apply
Program Development & Execution:
Design and implement market development proposals and initiatives aligned with IRA’s strategic goals.
Develop detailed activity schedules and ensure timely execution of all planned initiatives.
Public Education & Outreach:
Organize and support public education events including presentations, workshops, exhibitions, and campaigns.
Develop and regularly update educational materials and communication tools to raise awareness about insurance.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to coordinate development activities.
Benchmark practices with other regulatory bodies to identify innovations and improvements in market development.
Monitoring & Reporting:
Prepare timely and comprehensive reports on the implementation and impact of market development activities.
Evaluate and recommend improvements for future programming.
Other Duties:
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Timely submission and implementation of market development proposals
Compliance with scheduled activity timelines
Number and quality of public education events conducted
Timely and insightful evaluation reports
Stakeholder engagement and satisfaction levels
Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Project Planning and Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
Experience:
Relevant work experience in public engagement, development planning, marketing, or insurance is an added advantage.
