Job Description
The Clinical Officer Interns will be based at selected clinical trial sites under the Clinical Trials Facility in Bagamoyo. They will deliver clinical care in line with national guidelines, review and interpret laboratory results, and supervise study-related procedures. The role requires strict adherence to ethical and regulatory standards, the development of study SOPs, and participation in community sensitization and engagement activities. The interns will also support participant recruitment, monitor follow-ups, and help strengthen community relationships to ensure the success of the clinical trials.

How to Apply
Provide clinical care to study participants in compliance with national standard treatment guidelines.
Ensure adherence to study protocols and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Participate in community sensitization and engagement meetings.
Review laboratory results and support treatment decisions.
Develop and implement study Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Supervise and monitor study procedures to ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
Support participant recruitment, enrollment, and follow-up.
Maintain strong community and stakeholder relationships.
Contribute to documentation, reporting, and communication of study progress.
Diploma in Clinical Medicine.
Enrolled and licensed to practice as a Clinical Officer by the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and clinical trial procedures.
Basic digital literacy skills.
Effective communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
