Job Description
The Business Processing & Compliance Assistant will be responsible for processing new and renewal policies, handling claims and reimbursements, performing data uploads and reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. This role includes client data management, policy creation, endorsements processing, customer service support, and contributing to internal training and systems innovation. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate records, ensure quality assurance in claims, and support internal and external customer communications in line with Britam’s customer experience strategy.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Process new and renewal policies in compliance with SLAs
Prepare benefit setups and member upload files for corporate and retail schemes
Handle provider claims, reconcile invoices, and process reimbursements
Manage endorsements and ensure timely system updates
Perform quality assurance on claims to prevent fraud and errors
Ensure customer data quality and regulatory compliance
Reconcile scheme data for new and renewal business
Create and convert master policies for retail clients
Coordinate with finance to allocate premiums for retail policies
Process and track issuance of medical cards
Support internal and external customer communications
Participate in process improvements, testing, and peer training
Perform other assigned duties as required
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
3–4 years of experience in a similar role
Progress in insurance professional certification (ACII, FLMI, or IIK)
Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office, EDMS)
Understanding of insurance regulations and products
Strong communication and customer service skills
Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Strong organizational and time management skills
Interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations
Self-driven with initiative and accountability
