Job Description
The Big Truck Driver ensures the truck is roadworthy through daily/weekly inspections (tyres, oil, fuel, brakes, radio, spares), keeps the vehicle clean, and secures all necessary travel papers. The role handles correct loading/unloading, submits/returns delivery documents, verifies cargo condition, and reports incidents. The driver observes national road laws and security protocols (customs, checkpoints, roadblocks) and keeps vehicle and licence documents valid and onboard.

How to Apply
Perform daily and weekly technical checks; refuel/ top-up fluids; keep vehicle clean.
Drive safely within speed limits and traffic/security rules; safeguard passengers and cargo.
Ensure all travel/transport papers are in order before departure.
Oversee correct loading/unloading; submit delivery docs; confirm cargo status; return signed paperwork to Logistics.
Keep valid vehicle documents and driving licence in the truck at all times.
Report promptly any incidents involving passengers and/or goods.
Comply with customs, checkpoint, and roadblock procedures.
Complete proper handover if another driver uses the vehicle.

Certification: NIT certificate (or equivalent) and a valid Tanzanian heavy vehicle driving licence (Big Truck).
Experience: ≥ 1 year professional truck driving.
Technical: Desirable basic mechanics; good knowledge of local/mission-area roads; essential good vision; basic computer literacy.
Soft Skills: Flexibility, commitment, stress management, teamwork; clear communication; readiness to travel and stay overnight outside base.
Added plus: Strong safety, health and environmental awareness.
