Job Description
The role involves actively engaging potential and existing customers to promote the bank’s products and services, with a strong focus on onboarding new clients and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Direct Sales Agent will build lasting customer relationships, gather market intelligence, and provide feedback to management. The agent is expected to achieve sales targets, prepare regular reports, and act as a brand ambassador for the bank, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first approach.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Actively market and sell the bank’s products and services to new and existing customers.
Drive account opening initiatives and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
Identify potential clients through referrals, field visits, networking, and lead generation.
Provide accurate product information to customers on accounts, loans, and insurance packages.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.
Consistently meet and exceed individual and team sales targets.
Collect market intelligence and report competitor activities, customer needs, and emerging trends.
Ensure strict compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
Prepare and submit daily and weekly sales reports to supervisors.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
2–3 years of proven experience in sales within the banking and/or insurance sector.
Strong track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills.
Energetic, self-motivated, and results-driven.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
