Job Description
Reporting to the County Administration Department, the Administration Intern will assist in routine office operations including handling communication, supporting staff in documentation, maintaining records, and coordinating meetings. The role offers practical training in public administration while equipping the intern with essential skills to thrive in government and administrative roles.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in managing correspondence, filing, and document handling.
Provide front-office support including responding to inquiries and directing visitors.
Support in preparing meeting schedules, agendas, and minutes.
Assist in record-keeping and maintaining databases.
Handle calls, emails, and basic office communication.
Support staff in day-to-day administrative operations.
Ensure compliance with county policies and uphold professionalism.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Diploma in Secretarial Studies, Office Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office Suite).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Organizational and multitasking abilities.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to service delivery.
