Job Description
The Accounts Administrator will be responsible for verifying and processing financial transactions, supporting both internal and external audit processes, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting in month-end and year-end closings. The role involves working closely with other departments, compiling financial data, and recommending process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and audit preparedness.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Verify and process financial transactions in compliance with internal controls and regulations
Prepare and provide accurate financial records for audits, addressing auditor queries promptly
Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly to ensure accurate financial reporting
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, journals, and analysis for closing processes
Collaborate with other departments to collect and verify financial data
Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and processes
Maintain an organized and accessible filing system for financial documentation
Provide analytical support by compiling data and preparing reports for audits and management
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounts administration or bookkeeping role
Demonstrated experience with audit support and financial reconciliation
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Proactive, collaborative, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
