Position: Zone Manager

Job Purpose
The Zone Manager holds overall responsibility for managing and coordinating all operations within an assigned zone. This includes ensuring proper staffing levels, enforcing company standards, and delivering efficient, high-quality guarding services that meet client expectations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
Lead day-to-day security operations within the assigned zone, including deployment, supervision, and duty allocation.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of supervisors, field officers, and guards to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
Conduct spot checks on field staff to ensure performance and compliance with company policies and standards.
Ensure effective communication between field staff and the headquarters.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure all guards comply with company protocols, including health and safety, training, and grooming standards.
Monitor uniform, equipment, and PPE compliance across the zone.
Review and ensure timely submission of assignment instructions and incident reports into company systems.
Supervise the onboarding process for new recruits, from Compliance Officer handover to full deployment.
Client Relations & Incident Management
Liaise with clients to address concerns, complaints, and requests, ensuring responses and corrective actions are logged and completed within 24 hours.
Investigate incidents and submit comprehensive reports within 24 hours.
Maintain accurate records in the Evolution system, including incident resolutions and client feedback.
Staff & Resource Management
Ensure proper manning schedules, including coverage for leave and relief staff.
Review and execute taskings from the Manned Guarding Manager, including planning, budgeting, and reporting.
Review operational documents (incident reports, surveys, etc.) before submission.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to operational staff.
Monitoring & Evaluation
Implement and review monthly spot check and parade schedules (Timam).
Attend monthly Timam parades and ensure proper documentation.
Ensure contractually agreed hours are covered with minimal unbilled overtime.
Monitor operational performance using company databases to minimize inefficiencies and reduce unnecessary claims.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; willingness to pursue a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Professional management certification and membership in a recognized body.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the security industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Sound knowledge of security technologies and multi-functional security operations.
Key Competencies and Skills
Proven expertise in security management and operations.
Strong planning, coordination, and documentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across teams and client accounts.
Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
