Position Overview

The Talent and Resourcing Manager will play a key role in driving the Bank’s Talent Management Strategy while serving as the HR Business Partner for the Business Development Team. This position is a critical part of the HR team, with responsibility for talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and HR service delivery to support business goals.

How to Apply

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Strategy

  • Develop and implement a robust Talent Acquisition Strategy aligned with the Bank’s overall business objectives and best HR practices.

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, ensuring timely and cost-effective hiring for all open positions.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to design accurate job descriptions and role profiles.

  • Coordinate the design and dissemination of job advertisements in collaboration with the marketing team and maintain an updated and professional careers page.

  • Longlist and shortlist applicants, manage applicant databases, and maintain detailed records of recruitment outcomes.

  • Organize and participate in interviews, ensuring proper panel constitution and candidate evaluation based on core competencies.

  • Provide prompt feedback to all candidates post-interviews and compile detailed interview reports and recommendations.

  • Conduct thorough reference and background checks and secure necessary hiring approvals.


Talent Management & Employee Engagement

  • Implement talent retention initiatives and performance management frameworks that align with the bank’s strategic goals.

  • Partner with the Learning and Development team and business units to deliver relevant training and upskilling programs.

  • Drive employee engagement strategies specifically for the Business Development Team to create a motivating and productive work environment.

  • Support the implementation of a competitive reward strategy to attract and retain high-performing talent.


HR Strategy & Support

  • Provide strategic HR support to the Business Development Team, ensuring alignment of HR initiatives with departmental goals.

  • Advise on structural and manpower adjustments, including transfers, promotions, and role redesigns.

  • Maintain effective internal communication on all talent and resourcing initiatives in compliance with labor laws and HR best practices.

  • Prepare and submit timely talent and resourcing reports (monthly, quarterly, biannual, and annual) to management.

  • Collaborate with the broader HR team to deliver efficient and high-quality HR services across the bank.

  • Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Postgraduate qualification in HR is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role; banking sector experience is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of recruitment and selection, talent management, employee engagement, and performance management.

  • Sound knowledge of Uganda’s labor laws and HR-related legislation.

  • Familiarity with compensation, benefits, and change management practices.

  • Awareness of industry trends and banking business dynamics.

  • Membership in a recognized professional HR body (e.g., HRMAU, CIPD) is preferred.
