Reports To: Manager – Regional Sales
Purpose of the Role
To execute sales strategies, policies, and procedures within an assigned territory to achieve set performance targets. This includes driving sales growth, expanding market penetration, and managing a sales team to ensure effective distribution and customer satisfaction.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory.
Drive new business generation for MTN products and services.
Conduct regular market intelligence to identify customer needs, competitive activities, and potential new opportunities.
Develop and execute personal sales strategies to optimize returns within the territory.
Foster strong relationships with Mobile Money agents and dealers; coordinate joint marketing initiatives.
Drive the expansion of the MTN Mobile Money footprint to ensure product availability and accessibility.
Supervise and lead a team of Trade Development Representatives to achieve regional sales goals.
Ensure effective stock forecasting and inventory planning across dealer warehouses.
Provide training and coaching to dealer Sales Managers and distribution partners.
Oversee the implementation of MTN’s retail experience and Customer Experience Blueprints in all trade outlets.
Maintain consistent availability of MTN products by ensuring optimal stock levels.
Ensure MTN brand visibility and exclusivity in key retail outlets.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales and distribution, preferably in telecom or service-related industries.
Proven experience in team supervision and performance management.
Skills & Competencies
Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
High computer literacy
Self-driven with a proactive approach to achieving goals
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and planning skills
Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience
