Job Description
The role involves assisting in the collection and analysis of data from insurance entities, preparing reports on compliance and performance, and supporting the implementation of supervisory frameworks. The Supervision Assistant will also participate in on-site inspections, assist in the evaluation of financial statements, and contribute to the development of policies aimed at enhancing the regulatory environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in collecting and analyzing data from insurance and reinsurance companies.
Support the preparation of compliance and performance reports.
Participate in on-site inspections and evaluations of insurance entities.
Assist in reviewing financial statements and other regulatory submissions.
Contribute to the development and implementation of supervisory policies and guidelines.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supervisory activities.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective regulatory oversight.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in the insurance industry or regulatory environment.
Competencies and Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
Good understanding of insurance operations and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Additional Requirements:
Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
