Position in the organisation:
The Strategic Education Advisor, school leadership, provides technical and strategic advice and guidance on school leadership within VVOB’s team and outside the organisation.
Furthermore, the Strategic Education Advisor on school leadership, in consultation with other consortium partners, sets out the lines for the scaling strategy of the programme, focusing on sustainability and ownership of government partners involved.
The Strategic Education Advisor reports to the Country Programmes Manager and works closely and directly with colleagues in the LIT programme, the education department, all other departments of VVOB in Uganda and with the ACSL in Kigali/Nairobi and the Global Strategic Education Advisors at head office.

How to Apply
You design and develop relevant and scalable projects in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
You provide both short- and long-term strategic advice, information, and guidance to VVOB and VVOB’s partners on (a) specific educational domain(s), in line with policy trends, new developments and the latest research and thinking in education and international development.
You take up a variety of roles in the capacity development process according to the needs, particular situations, and phases of the programme.
You create and manage partnerships and strong networks with relevant partners, institutions and organizations.
You contribute to internal and external knowledge development and learning, by systemizing lessons learned and sharing pro-actively lessons learned between partners, colleagues and other VVOB country teams.
