Job Title: SHERQ Manager

Location: Head Office, Uganda (with Routine Site Visits)
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Role Purpose:
The SHERQ Manager will lead the development and integration of a world-class Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality (SHERQ) culture across the organization. This role is essential for ensuring regulatory compliance, minimizing operational risk, and maintaining the safety and wellbeing of all employees.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and institutionalize SHERQ policies, systems, and procedures
Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations
Drive a proactive safety culture through training, awareness, and compliance monitoring
Ensure full adherence to ISO standards and NEBOSH best practices across operations
Act as the primary liaison with external health, safety, and environmental regulatory bodies

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; NEBOSH certification required
Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (OHSE) is an advantage
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in HSE, risk analysis, or a logistics-related field
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, quality systems, and risk mitigation strategies
