Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager – Wholesales & Carriers, the Senior Manager will oversee commercial planning, operations, and business development within MTN’s Wholesale Division. The position requires leading sales execution strategies, driving channel enablement, managing budgets, and ensuring governance compliance. The role demands strong leadership, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to manage a dynamic, multicultural environment. The Senior Manager will also focus on building talent, developing best practices, and identifying new opportunities to grow MTN’s wholesale and infrastructure business in an evolving ICT and telecommunications landscape.

How to Apply
Lead yearly commercial and business planning cycles, including budgets and performance reports.
Oversee sales execution strategies across channels, ensuring effective pipeline, targeting, and regional revenue performance.
Develop and implement route-to-market projects and trade execution programs.
Provide sales teams with resources, tools, and training to improve sales outcomes.
Monitor and manage trade promotional activities, market execution, and new product launches.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, competitor benchmarking, and market intelligence analysis.
Ensure governance, compliance, and risk management within commercial operations.
Manage and optimize budgets to achieve cost efficiency and revenue growth.
Lead, coach, and develop team members, creating a high-performance culture.
Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in line with MTN’s values.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or a related field.
Master’s degree is an added advantage.
At least 8 years of relevant experience in multinational or global business environments.
Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience, with at least 3 years in Telecommunications or FMCG.
Strong knowledge of B2B2C marketing and sales execution models.
Proven experience in wholesale infrastructure services, business growth, and financial outcomes.
Expertise in sales strategy, execution, performance management, and business development.
Strong skills in operational planning, problem-solving, market intelligence, and customer value management.
Excellent leadership, emotional intelligence, and relationship-building abilities.
