Bank of India (Uganda) Limited officially started operations on 18th -June-2012 by opening its first branch in Kampala-Uganda. We have bouquet of personal and corporate banking, Instant Fund Transfers and lucrative Foreign Exchange products which can be further be customized to satisfy customer requirements.
Our bank is wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of India, one of the largest public sector banks in India, established in 1906 and having banking expertise and tradition of over 100 years. The Bank has over 5000 branches in India spread over all states/ union territories including specialized branches. These branches are controlled through 54 Zonal Offices. The appointment shall be subject to successful academic vetting, reference checks and satisfactory due diligence report
Provide banking assistance to bank customers in handling their transfers, deposits and payments
Assist and support bank administration in its operational issues
Account opening-ensuring that accounts are opened in the shortest time possible
Prepare cheque book requests and scanning of signatures
Process India remittances, inward and outward TTs/ RTGS transfers and update the relevant registers, customer account statements, handling customer balance inquiry
Handling cleanng process at entry level
Balancing INR. SUNCR and SUNDEP office account balances
Promote and cross-sell banking products and services to customers.
Identify and resolve customer needs and ensure quality services to customers Directing the customers to the proper departments/ officials
Proper maintenance and upkeep of Bank’s records.
Build customer loyalty
Ensure compliance of Bank’s KYC. AML policies and regulatory norms
Performing duties of Tellers in absence of other tellers
Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Bachelor s Degree in a Business related field from a recognized Institution
Basic Knowledge in computer is a must EXPERIENCE
At least three (3) years working experience in bank or Financial Institution preferably in operations department
Ability to work in a busy environment
Behavioural Competences
Highly organized person, with ability to multitask with ease Leadership skills Integrity Team player
Emotional intelligence skills
Highly organized person, with ability to multitask with ease
Technical Competences
Sound knowledge of business management
Physical Demand Of The Job
The job requires long sitting hours
Age: Preferably below 40 years However, Management reserves the right for determining the age criterion even below /above 40 years keeping in view the experience/qualifications. Etc
