Job Description
The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and growing a client portfolio by building strong, long-term relationships, understanding clients’ financial needs, and delivering tailored banking solutions. The role focuses on driving business growth, cross-selling banking products and services, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, and maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate, SME, or retail clients, acting as the primary point of contact for their banking needs.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned portfolio or market segment to achieve sales targets.
Understand clients’ financial goals and provide appropriate banking products and solutions, including loans, deposits, trade finance, and treasury services.
Monitor client accounts, assess financial health, and proactively address potential issues to reduce risk and maximize growth.
Promote and cross-sell bank products and services to enhance client engagement and drive revenue.
Ensure all client interactions and transactions comply with regulatory requirements, bank policies, and internal controls.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to provide insights and inform business strategy.
Resolve client queries promptly, address complaints effectively, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, prepare reports on portfolio performance, and submit updates to management as required.
