Job Description
Position Title: SCM Procurement Officer – Maize & Cassava
Company: SAASA B2E
Location: Uganda (East Africa region preferred)
Level: Senior Officer
Salary Range: USD 1,500 – 2,000 per month
Experience Required: 5–10 years in agricultural procurement (preferably maize and cassava)
Preferred Candidate: From the East African region, with strong preference for Uganda

How to Apply
Procurement & Sourcing
Lead procurement operations for maize and cassava across Uganda and Tanzania.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and farmer cooperatives.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve cost-effective and sustainable sourcing.
Supply Chain Management
Coordinate logistics, warehousing, and inventory planning to ensure timely delivery and stock availability.
Monitor market trends, pricing, and seasonal patterns to inform procurement strategies.
Collaborate closely with transport and warehousing teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, farmers, and cooperatives.
Ensure full compliance with local regulations, sustainability standards, and quality requirements.
Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to maintain consistent quality and reliability.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and demand forecasts.
Track and analyze KPIs related to procurement efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with finance, operations, and quality assurance teams to support end-to-end supply chain excellence.
Contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement of procurement processes.
