Job Description
The role focuses on driving sales performance, managing the sales team, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring efficient route-to-market execution.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
1. Sales Management
- Monitor and track daily and weekly sales performance across all teams
- Analyze sales data to identify gaps and implement corrective actions promptly
- Prepare and submit daily sales reports
- Ensure consistent achievement of sales targets
2. Sales Force Management
- Set clear individual sales targets for each sales representative
- Closely monitor performance and provide daily guidance to help reps meet targets
- Conduct regular field visits and accompany sales reps to coach and improve selling techniques
- Carry out monthly performance evaluations based on KPIs
- Identify skill gaps, provide feedback, and follow up on improvement plans
- Take overall responsibility for the performance and productivity of the sales team
3. Key Account & Order Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale customers
- Plan and manage order booking, delivery follow-ups, and customer satisfaction
- Design and implement incentive schemes to drive performance among key customers
- Ensure timely order fulfillment and service delivery
4. Trade Activation Management
- Plan, propose, and execute promotional and tactical marketing activities
- Brief sales teams on ongoing promotions and ensure proper execution in the field
- Monitor performance of promotions and ensure alignment with objectives
- Conduct post-activity evaluations and reconcile promotional outcomes
5. Route-to-Market Excellence
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer data in company systems
- Optimize customer coverage by assigning the right customers to the right routes
- Maintain appropriate visit frequency to maximize sales efficiency and coverage
- Continuously improve route planning for better market penetration
Internal Working Relationships
With General Manager & National Sales Manager
- Maintain close and regular communication on sales performance and operational issues
- Provide timely updates and escalate key matters requiring attention
- Execute tasks and directives from senior management
With Sales Team
- Lead, coach, and mentor sales representatives
- Conduct field accompaniment to strengthen selling capabilities
- Monitor daily performance and provide continuous feedback
With Depot Managers
- Collaborate on stock planning, availability, and reconciliations
- Ensure adequate stock levels to support sales operations
- Support cash and stock reconciliation processes
With Finance & Logistics Teams
- Work closely to ensure accurate financial reconciliations
- Support stock management and timely depot replenishment
- Coordinate stock and financial reconciliation during and after promotions
