How to Apply
Sales Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage the sales office team to achieve and exceed set sales targets, ensuring high levels of performance and motivation.
Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan to expand Uganda Airlines’ market presence and grow its customer base within Uganda and the region.
Operational Oversight: Oversee daily sales operations, ensuring efficient workflows and exceptional customer service delivery to all clients, including walk-ins and corporate customers.
Recruitment & Performance Management: Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing performance evaluation of sales representatives. Provide coaching and clear performance objectives to drive individual and team success.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key customers such as corporate clients, travel agencies, tour operators, and walk-in customers by understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare and present accurate sales reports, revenue updates, expense tracking, and market forecasts to the airline’s management team.
Market Analysis & Business Development: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities. Identify areas for growth and innovation to maintain Uganda Airlines' competitive edge.
Sales Promotions & Campaigns: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement promotional campaigns aimed at increasing market share and maximizing revenue.
Office Efficiency & Technology Utilization: Ensure the sales office operates professionally and efficiently, leveraging industry technologies to streamline processes and improve customer engagement.
Brand Representation: Act as the face of Uganda Airlines in the market—representing the brand at events, client meetings, and other engagements as required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a senior sales role within the airline, travel, or hospitality industry.
Prior experience managing an airline sales office or call center is an added advantage.
Professional Development: Commitment to continuous learning through industry seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated track record of leading the sales process from planning to successful deal closure.
Solid understanding of the travel industry, market dynamics, and customer behavior.
Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team management capabilities.
