Job Description
The Sales and Service Advisor is responsible for creating a positive and helpful customer experience by understanding customer needs, offering appropriate financial products, and guiding them to the right banking channels. The role also includes fulfilling transactions efficiently, promoting the use of digital services, and supporting the bank's cost containment efforts. Advisors are expected to maintain ethical behavior, apply Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles, and adhere to all operational guidelines and risk controls.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Deliver a customer experience aligned with FNB’s brand promise of “How can we help you?”
Understand and respond to customer needs by recommending suitable product solutions
Conduct all interactions ethically and professionally, adhering to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles
Fulfil transactions efficiently and beyond benchmark expectations
Promote and guide customers to eChannels and self-service platforms
Identify cross-selling opportunities based on customer requirements
Comply with operational procedures, business policies, and risk management practices
Contribute to cost reduction through optimized service delivery
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education & Experience:
Previous experience in a customer-facing or sales-related banking environment is advantageous
Understanding of digital banking and financial products is desirable
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Customer-focused and solutions-oriented
Ethical behavior and compliance with standards
Ability to work under pressure and meet service benchmarks
Familiarity with banking procedures, digital channels, and customer migration strategies
