Job Description
The Relationship Banker will be responsible for offering personalized and professional financial services to high-value Prestige Banking clients. Based in various locations along the Garden Route—including George, Hermanus, Knysna, and Mossel Bay—the role involves conducting proactive, planned client engagements aimed at understanding client needs and providing appropriate cross-pillar solutions.
The incumbent will deliver expert advice, drive portfolio growth, and collaborate with product specialists to ensure a seamless and integrated customer experience. A strong focus will be placed on financial reviews, risk assessment, and delivering tailored investment and lending solutions that align with clients' financial goals.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide premium service and proactive engagement to Prestige Banking clients
Conduct holistic financial reviews to assess client needs and identify service gaps
Deepen relationships through tailored cross-pillar solutions in partnership with specialists
Offer expert financial advice and support informed client decision-making
Drive acquisition of new clients and grow the portfolio to meet revenue targets
Maintain compliance with banking regulations, risk policies, and internal procedures
Leverage banking systems to support service delivery and relationship management
Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through excellence in service delivery
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
FAIS-aligned Bachelor’s Degree in Business Commerce (NQF Level 7 or higher)
Experience Required:
5–7 years' experience in Personal and Private Banking
Proven track record in client acquisition, retention, and revenue growth
Strong financial analysis and investment advisory skills
Knowledge of banking compliance, market trends, and risk management
Excellent relationship management, communication, and teamwork abilities
