Job Description
Position: Retail Territory Executive

About the Role
TotalEnergies Uganda is seeking a Retail Territory Executive to manage, develop, and optimize the performance of a designated retail network territory. This role involves ensuring operational excellence, commercial performance, strict adherence to HSEQ standards, and the effective development of station personnel and dealers.
The Retail Territory Executive will be responsible for overseeing both CODO (Company Owned Dealer Operated) and DODO (Dealer Owned Dealer Operated) service stations within the assigned region, ensuring that strategic, operational, and financial targets are consistently achieved.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ)
Promote and instill a strong safety culture across all stations.
Ensure all HSEQ procedures and HACCP guidelines are strictly followed.
Guarantee that all incidents and accidents are properly reported, documented, and followed up with corrective actions.
Provide continuous safety training for station staff.
Business Development & Commercial Performance
Implement the company’s commercial strategy in the assigned territory.
Increase fuel, lubricants, LPG, and non-fuel retail (NFR) volumes, turnover, and profitability.
Conduct regular market analysis and competitive intelligence.
Identify new partnership opportunities, prospective sites, and expansion areas.
Drive the growth of the fleet card business by increasing penetration and usage rates.
Guichet Unique (GU) Oversight
Ensure the proper functioning of the Guichet Unique system in all assigned stations.
Monitor dealer reconciliation in both SAP and back-office systems.
Oversee fraud prevention measures and enforce strict financial controls.
Ensure station staff and dealers meet the performance expectations of the GU initiative.
Territory & Financial Management
Negotiate and renew Master Lease Agreements (MLAs), including establishing working capital requirements and profit & loss projections.
Monitor station economic performance and implement action plans based on comparative analysis of budgeted vs. actual results.
Maintain strict compliance with all regulatory, fiscal, and internal control standards.
Ensure monthly account reconciliation and financial sign-off by dealers and young dealers.
Human Capital Development
Identify, coach, and develop Young Dealers, building a talent pipeline and maintaining a central talent database.
Assess training needs for all station staff and implement appropriate training programs.
Provide coaching on customer service (Top Service), ISO 9001:2015 standards, and document management.
Respond to customer complaints and work with dealers on resolutions and service improvement plans.

Fuel Volume: As per Business Unit targets
Lubricant Volume: As per Business Unit targets
Non-Fuel Revenue: As per Business Unit targets

Candidate Profile
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or Accounting.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Excellent interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
