Job Description
As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including managing staff, ensuring high-quality service, controlling costs, and improving the overall customer experience. You will also be responsible for maintaining effective communication with the kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Your role will require a strong focus on leading and motivating a diverse team, managing high-volume operations, and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Staff Management:
Lead, train, and manage the restaurant team to ensure excellent service.
Create staff schedules and assign responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
Handle staff performance reviews and contribute to their professional development.
Manage conflict resolution and maintain team morale.
Operational Management:
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Ensure efficient food and beverage service, customer satisfaction, and hygiene standards.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary.
Control costs and ensure that the restaurant operates within budget.
Customer Service:
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by monitoring feedback and resolving complaints.
Maintain the restaurant’s reputation for quality service and ambiance.
Develop strategies to improve the customer experience and attract new guests.
Financial Management:
Monitor and control daily sales, cash handling, and overall financial performance.
Ensure compliance with financial controls, including budgeting and cost management.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and restaurant policies.
Regularly inspect the restaurant to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
5-7 years of progressive experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
Proven ability to manage high-volume operations while controlling costs.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and financial controls.
