Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Research and Product Development, the Officer will be responsible for executing research projects aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives. The role includes preparing research proposals, conducting feasibility studies for new branches, analyzing customer preferences, and facilitating product innovation. The Officer will also handle data requests, develop strategic partnerships, and support project management activities related to product development and implementation. The goal is to ensure the bank remains responsive to market needs and competitive within the financial services sector.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Draft and present research proposals aligned with business needs for EXCOM approval
Conduct field visits and prepare feasibility study reports for proposed branch locations
Collaborate with operations and credit departments to disseminate research findings
Respond to internal and external data requests with timely, accurate research outputs
Prepare concept papers and business development proposals for partnerships
Contribute to the innovation, development, and refinement of market-led products
Participate in project management and implementation of product initiatives

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Computing, Microfinance, Banking, Finance, or any related field
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing research and product development in a competitive business environment
Strong analytical and communication skills, with a solid foundation in market research
At least 2 principal passes at A’ Level
Credit or pass in Mathematics and English at O’ Level
Must be 45 years of age or younger
