Job Opportunity: Communications & Activities Officer

Employment Status: Full-Time
Reports to: Membership & Programs Lead
Position Summary:
The Communications & Activities Officer plays a crucial dual role in managing FITSPA’s communication efforts and supporting the execution of its programs and events. The officer will oversee digital platforms, media relations, and public communications to boost FITSPA’s brand visibility. Additionally, they will provide logistical and operational support to ensure successful member engagement and program delivery.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
1. Program Implementation
Coordinate all logistics for FITSPA activities, including scheduling, venue booking, vendor and speaker coordination, and participant registration.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, feedback, and deliverables.
Keep abreast of fintech sector developments to ensure FITSPA’s programs remain relevant and innovative.
2. Stakeholder Engagement & Member Support
Communicate regularly with members about events, opportunities, and industry updates.
Serve as the main liaison between FITSPA, partners, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and member participation.
Facilitate relationship-building among members, partners, regulators, and other stakeholders.
Collect and analyze member feedback to improve communication and events.
Develop initiatives to enhance member visibility and engagement through FITSPA’s channels.
3. Communications & Public Relations
Implement FITSPA’s communications strategy across social media, newsletters, website, and other digital platforms.
Create and edit engaging content such as press releases, blogs, reports, and member updates.
Manage FITSPA’s social media accounts with timely, relevant content.
Support media outreach and maintain good relationships with journalists.
Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communications.
4. Website Management
Regularly update FITSPA’s website with news, events, publications, and member highlights.
Work with technical teams or service providers to resolve website issues and enhance functionality.
Monitor website analytics and recommend improvements based on user engagement.
5. Event Management & Branding
Provide logistical and communications support for key events, including the Annual Fintech Conference and stakeholder forums.
Develop promotional materials such as brochures, banners, presentations, and signage.
Maintain consistent branding and professional presentation across all events.
Document events with high-quality photography, videography, and post-event reports.
Coordinate with vendors and venues to ensure smooth event execution.
6. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
Track the performance of communications initiatives and events using relevant metrics.
Generate insights from social media and event data to improve future activities.
Prepare and submit regular reports to the Membership & Programs Lead.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
2-3 years of experience in social media management, digital content creation, public communications, event coordination, or stakeholder relations.
Background in marketing or communications, preferably within tech or innovation sectors.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
