Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and customer-centric Relationship Manager – Transactional Banking to drive growth in the bank’s collections portfolio. This role focuses on acquiring new clients, deepening existing relationships, and delivering tailored business solutions that maximize client satisfaction and bank profitability.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Maintain and grow a high-quality collection portfolio by strengthening client relationships and increasing wallet share across existing accounts.
Business Development & Acquisition: Identify, engage, and acquire new clients to support business growth goals, focusing on liability generation and high-potential partnerships.
Transaction Facilitation: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient preparation and processing of proposals, contracts, agreements, and approvals, ensuring timely deal closures.
Branch Collaboration: Work closely with branches to ensure clients channel statutory and utility payments through the bank, and assist in resolving reconciliation issues promptly.
Portfolio Growth & Retention: Sustain and expand corporate relationships to support asset and liability growth targets, delivering superior financial returns.
Client Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on all client interactions, visits, and agreements for reference and compliance.
Brand Advocacy: Promote the bank’s image as a leading provider of innovative, responsive, and reliable corporate banking solutions in the market.
Risk Awareness: Identify potential risks within client relationships or transactions and escalate them for proper mitigation to protect the bank’s interests.
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends and gather actionable insights to inform business strategy and provide management with early warnings or growth opportunities.
Cross-Selling & Advisory: Identify cross-selling opportunities and offer comprehensive financial advice to ensure clients access the full suite of bank products and services.
Product Innovation & Localization: Adapt and recommend products and services tailored to local market dynamics, including utility and statutory payment solutions.
Portfolio Reporting: Prepare periodic reports with performance metrics, insights, and recommendations for portfolio management and strategic planning.
Additional Responsibilities: Support other initiatives and tasks as delegated by management.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Experience:Minimum of 3 years in financial business development with a strong background in relationship management, direct selling, and liability mobilization.
Skills & Competencies
Strong relationship management and customer service orientation
Business acumen and financial analysis capability
Excellent proposal development and business case writing skills
Effective communication, presentation, and networking skills
Proactive, team-oriented, and results-driven approach
Ability to perform under pressure and make sound decisions
