Job Description
The Suite Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of a banking suite, mentoring staff, managing client portfolios, and executing strategic plans to achieve revenue targets. This includes ensuring top-tier client service delivery, risk management, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across Retail and Commercial Banking divisions. The Suite Manager will also handle recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and operational reporting.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
Develop and manage relationships with high-value commercial clients.
Oversee seamless client onboarding and feedback-driven service enhancements.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for suite staff.
Foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
Revenue Growth and Business Development:
Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
Develop strategies for client acquisition and portfolio expansion.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure efficient suite operations and process optimization.
Monitor key performance indicators.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Enforce regulatory and internal policy compliance.
Implement risk mitigation strategies.
Business Planning and Decision Making:
Provide metrics and reports to support strategic decisions.
Policy and Procedure Management:
Keep policies updated and aligned with banking standards.
Identify areas for process improvement.
People Management:
Manage leave, performance, coaching, and business continuity for direct reports.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
FAIS RE 1 and FAIS RE 5 certifications.
Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
Experience:
5–8 years of experience in commercial or business banking.
Minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Strong record in client relationship management and revenue generation.
In-depth understanding of banking regulations, products, and risk management.
