Job Description
As a Regulatory Legal Summer Associate, you will work with the legal, compliance, and regulatory teams to research global pharmaceutical regulations, assist in conducting due diligence, support the development of internal compliance frameworks, and monitor regulatory updates that impact international healthcare operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-led global health startup and gain hands-on experience with real-world legal and regulatory challenges in LMIC contexts.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct research on healthcare and pharmaceutical regulations across various jurisdictions
Assist with due diligence processes for suppliers, distributors, and partners
Draft internal policy documents, regulatory memos, and maintain regulatory compliance trackers
Monitor changes in regulatory landscapes and flag relevant updates to internal teams
Organize and manage internal legal and regulatory databases and templates
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (compliance, operations, supply chain) to ensure regulatory alignment
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Enrolled in a law degree (LLB or JD) or a recent graduate in law, international trade, health policy, or a related field
Strong interest in regulatory law, pharmaceutical compliance, or global health law
Competencies:
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
Passionate about global health equity and mission-oriented work
