Job Description

The Regenerative Resilience Officer will be responsible for implementing regenerative agriculture, water conservation, biodiversity, and ecosystem restoration interventions. The officer will provide training and capacity building to farmer organizations, school stakeholders, and community actors. The role will ensure integration of sustainable agriculture into school gardens and community demonstration plots while promoting climate resilience, environmental stewardship, and improved productivity.

This position requires close collaboration with the Nutrition, Gender, MEARL, and other cross-functional teams to align interventions and ensure a holistic and sustainable impact.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agroecology, Environmental Science, or related field.

  • Certification in climate-smart agriculture, permaculture, or soil health is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience implementing sustainable or climate-resilient agriculture projects.

  • Experience working with farmer groups, community-based facilitators, and in semi-arid regions.

  • Familiarity with ecosystem restoration, agroecological principles, and soil health improvement.

  • MUST be able to ride a motorcycle with a valid riding permit.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Practical knowledge of regenerative agriculture and nature-based solutions.

  • Strong facilitation and adult learning skills.

  • Ability to conduct soil assessments and design farm-based demonstrations.

  • Proven ability to blend traditional practices with scientific solutions.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in preparing high-quality donor reports.
