About the Role

The Receptionist plays a key role in ensuring that all visitors and persons of concern receive timely, respectful, and confidential assistance at the UNHCR Uganda office. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the front desk and reception area, facilitating internal communication, and supporting administrative tasks under the supervision of a Senior Associate or Officer.

  • Education: High School Diploma with at least 1 year of relevant experience OR a Bachelor's degree or higher.

  • Languages: Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages and/or a UN working language is an advantage.

  • Skills:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Basic computer literacy

    • Ability to handle confidential information professionally

    • Organizational and multitasking abilities

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with UNHCR systems such as proGres (refugee registration database)
