Job Description
True North Consult Ltd is a boutique HR Consultancy Firm offering Outsourced Manpower services, HR Advisory, and Executive search & selection services to selected clients across East Africa. The NGO Officer will build networks with NGOs and Civil society organizations, ensure that affiliate is up to date on the landscape, and report on grievances from site. This role involves active daily engagement, data collation, and progress meeting coordination for projects like Tilenga/EACOP.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure that the standards and expected by the company are consistently applied. Observe all Company Rules, Procedures, and Instructions in the performance of own task.
- Build Ugandan network with NGOs and Civil society organizations, ensure that affiliate is up to date on the landscape and report as and when required to ensure no surprises are encountered.
- Understand and elaborate on NGO/CSO landscape for Tilenga/EACOP.
- Engage daily on recent updates and assure understanding.
- Ensure that NGO/CSOs data is collated and verified.
- Build and report weekly including grievances from site.
- Produce a monthly report on activities.
- Organize biweekly NGO/CSO progress meetings with interested parties, affiliate, and HQ.
- Support Social Team Lead and Land Project Manager on monitoring and evaluation, Support the scale-up and further expansion of outreach to NGO/CSOs.
- This may include, but is not limited to, work plan design, target of NGO/CSO analysis as well as the overall coordination advice.
- Focal point for coordinating and responding to requests.
- Conduct site verification visits when required.
- Work to resolve issues arising from NGO/CSO animators in the field.
- Contribute to capacity building activities.
- Adhere to any ad-hoc requests.
