The incumbent maintains regular contact on a working level on routine issues with other UNHCR personnel, UN agencies, NGOs, implementing partners and with Host Government Security authorities (HGOs) in the area to facilitate the operation.

The incumbent may play a supervisory role in overlooking the day-to-day activities of the Telecom Operators in the offices in the area of coverage.

The incumbent monitors protection standards, operational procedures and practices in protection delivery in line with international standards and provides functional protection support to information management and programme staff.

The ER Assistant maintains contact with three Sub-Offices (Adjumani. Arua and Mbarara) and other UN agencies, NGOs, government partners to facilitate alignment and accuracy of information.

The incumbent report to Asst Rep Administration in Kampala, Uganda country operation. The Records and Archives policies, standards, and guidance.

Ensure through direct action and advocacy with more senior protection staff that the necessary resources are allocated to enable community work to identify and address protection and assistance gaps;

Support staff and partners in the strengthening of a functioning Best Interests system: identification, assessment, referral, response and assistance, monitoring and documenting of cases of children at risk.

Support the implementation of digital inclusion and connectivity initiatives for refugees in Rwanda.

Conduct market and supply-side assessments, develop segmentation tools, and create an actionable plan to expand access to financial services for forcibly displaced populations (FDPs) and host communities.
