Job Description
The Radiographer is responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and ultrasounds, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The successful candidate will ensure accurate positioning, maintain imaging equipment, and uphold safety standards. The role also involves collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret results, documentation, and strict adherence to professional regulations. The ideal candidate must be licensed and have strong attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays and ultrasounds
Ensure accurate patient positioning and prioritize safety during procedures
Maintain and operate radiographic equipment
Collaborate with medical staff to interpret and analyze imaging results
Keep detailed and accurate patient records
Adhere to all safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Degree in Radiography
2 – 5 years of relevant work experience
Licensed by the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN)
Excellent technical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic healthcare setting
Must reside in Port Harcourt
Preferably male, in the interest of gender balance
