Job Description
The role involves sourcing and onboarding new customers, executing strategies to expand market reach, and ensuring consistent client engagement. The Medical Sales Representative will also be responsible for competitive market intelligence, regular reconciliation of customer accounts, and presenting clinical information effectively. The position requires fieldwork, relationship management, and target achievement, with a base in Abakaliki and coverage of surrounding areas.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Implement strategies to increase product visibility and penetration in both markets and medical institutions.
Consistently source and grow a network of customers.
Monitor and analyze competitor activity to inform strategic adjustments.
Maintain and reconcile customer accounts regularly.
Present clinical and technical product information in meetings and presentations.
Develop and manage key customer relationships in the assigned territory.
Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences (e.g., Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Biology, Anatomy).
Minimum of 2 years' experience in pharmaceutical sales.
Must reside in Abakaliki or nearby locations.
Age under 40 years.
Must possess valid driving skills (driving is compulsory).
Excellent sales and relationship management skills.
Strong presentation and communication abilities.
High integrity, discipline, and a target-driven approach.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Attention to detail and strong leadership qualities.
