Job Description
The Pharmacologist will be responsible for conducting scientific research on the interaction of drugs with biological systems. The role includes developing and testing hypotheses related to drug efficacy and safety, analyzing pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, and preparing scientific reports. The successful candidate will collaborate with professionals across multiple disciplines, including chemists, microbiologists, and clinicians, to ensure compliance with drug development protocols and regulatory standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct research and experiments to study drug effects on biological systems
Analyze pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) profiles of drugs
Develop and test hypotheses on drug efficacy, safety, and interactions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including chemists, microbiologists, and clinicians
Prepare scientific papers, reports, presentations, and regulatory submissions
Ensure all work complies with ethical standards and regulatory guidelines
Stay updated on advancements in pharmacology and drug development trends

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field (PhD is a plus)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical or laboratory research environment
Proficient in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing
Strong knowledge of pharmacological principles and drug development processes
Familiarity with regulatory and ethical compliance in research
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and critical thinking abilities
