Job Description
The PPB Quality Engineer Graduate Programme aims to equip graduates with the skills necessary to drive quality and test advocacy, manage resources, resolve impediments, and coordinate reporting related to testing activities. Participants will learn to align testing practices with modern engineering standards like Agile and CI/CD, ensure effective collaboration across IT partners, and promote standardization in automation initiatives. Graduates will lead quality engineering initiatives, support organisational change, develop quality engineering capabilities, and contribute actively to continuous improvement targets.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Drive quality and test advocacy within the team.
Coordinate and manage reporting requirements, including test status, defect tracking, and risk metrics.
Facilitate alignment with system team automation initiatives.
Implement quality engineering strategies in line with IT Engineering standards.
Ensure compliance with modern engineering practices (Agile, CI/CD, TDD).
Support seamless test execution by ensuring tool and environment availability.
Lead and mentor the quality engineering team.
Participate in business team demos to align testing priorities with business needs.
Resolve issues by interacting with development and environment teams.
Deliver accurate and comprehensive test summary reports.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Final year undergraduate, Honours, or Master’s Degree (Completed or currently completing in 2025) in:
Computer Science
Electronic Engineering
Informatics, Information Systems
Information Technology
Software Development
Software Engineering
Minimum Requirements:
Must be a South African citizen
Must be under 30 years of age
No more than two years’ work experience
Minimum 65% average across all years of study
