Job Description
The Operations Manager will lead the daily execution of activities across departments including customer service, billing, logistics, and inventory. The role involves ensuring compliance with SOPs, monitoring departmental performance, and implementing improvements where necessary. The ideal candidate will foster staff development, resolve operational bottlenecks, and ensure a productive, accountable work culture. In addition, this position includes administrative and HR responsibilities, acting as a liaison between operations teams and senior management to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
Salary: UGX 1,500,000 – 2,000,000 Net pay
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations across departments including customer service, billing, logistics, and inventory.
Coordinate workflow to ensure seamless order fulfillment and delivery.
Enforce and monitor compliance with company SOPs.
Quickly resolve operational issues and escalate as needed.
Track departmental KPIs and prepare weekly performance reports.
Evaluate team productivity and suggest process optimizations.
Conduct regular team check-ins and support performance management.
Onboard and orient new employees.
Encourage a culture of teamwork, motivation, and accountability.
Address staff concerns and disciplinary matters in coordination with leadership.
Monitor and manage customer complaints, order delays, and returns.
Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
Identify and mitigate risks of data breaches or unauthorized access.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Human Resource Management, or related field.
Experience:
At least 3 years in a supervisory or operations role.
Experience with e-commerce platforms, ERP systems (especially Odoo), and inventory management is an added advantage.
