Job Description
The Shop Attendant will serve as the first point of contact for customers, assisting with purchases and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The role includes responsibilities such as managing stock levels, organizing shelves, maintaining cleanliness, and handling cash or electronic payments. The ideal candidate should be energetic, courteous, and have a basic understanding of retail operations and customer service.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
Restock shelves and manage inventory levels
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the shop
Provide product information and support customer inquiries
Monitor product displays and report low stock to management
Handle customer complaints or refer them to the supervisor
Ensure adherence to shop policies and security procedures

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Diploma in Business Management or equivalent
Customer service and interpersonal skills
Organizational and time management abilities
Basic math skills for sales processing

Experience in retail or sales is an added advantage
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
