1. Develop an intelligence collection and analysis plan to identify information sources and guide the intelligence process
a) Develop and implement a risk assessment framework to systematically identify high-risk areas and address information gaps, ensuring thorough analysis and prioritization for dedicated cases
b) Develop an intelligence collection and analysis plan to identify information sources
c) Conduct an intelligence collection process
d) Submit the intelligence collection plan to the line manager for review and approval
2. Collect and analyze data to identify players in different sectors and generate cases for investigation
a) Obtain and study approved intelligence collection and analysis plan and extract data from URA legacy systems
b) Study relevant source documents and files to identify and extract relevant information for investigation
c) Collect and document relevant information/data on cases and draw up intelligence reports
d) Correlate and analyze information from different sources to come up with taxpayers’ paying position
e) Serialize field reports, evaluate and grade the different information sources
f) Analyze the information collected to identify risk prone areas
g) Consolidate findings to generate a draft intelligence report and submit to the line manager for review and approval
h) Compile and update a database of information gathered from the field for future reference
3. Identify information posts in order to create client relationships and information network to support the collection of intelligence
a) Identify possible sources of information and initiate agent/mole recruitment
b) Hold engagements with identified information sources to enhance relations and information sharing
c) Conduct client sensitization programs to enhance information sharing and client relations
d) Prepare and submit intelligence briefs to the line manager for review and approval
e) Maintain and update the information sources database to enhance the information
Essential Requirements
a) An Honors Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalency in either; Law, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, or Business-related Course from a recognized institution
b) At least two (02) years’ work experience in the area of Intelligence and Investigation in a reputable organization
c) An impeccable record of integrity
Desirable Requirements
a) Training in Investigation or Strategy intelligence
b) Basic training in Taxation
KNOWLEDGE
a) Knowledge of the Tax Laws and Computer Misuse Act 2011
b) Knowledge of Analytical tools like i2 and IDEA

a) S/he can work in teams
b) S/he should have good communication skills
c) The incumbent should have good interpersonal skills
