It is mandated to regulate, supervise, and promote the development of the insurance industry in Kenya. The Authority ensures compliance by insurance and reinsurance companies, protects consumers, and promotes a high degree of security for policyholders.

Job Description

The Office Administrator will manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including organizing meetings, maintaining filing systems, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage office correspondence, including emails, letters, and packages.

  • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments.

  • Maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical.

  • Order and manage office supplies inventory.

  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.

  • Develop and maintain a filing system.

  • Liaise with executive and senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior managers.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Education:

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in office administration.

Competencies and Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

Additional Requirements:

  • Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
