Job Description
The Network & Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performing network and server infrastructure—both on-premise and cloud-based. The role includes managing cybersecurity protocols, ensuring compliance with industry regulations (NDPR, NITDA, CBN), and working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. The engineer will monitor system performance, manage cloud resources (AWS, Azure, GCP), and support disaster recovery planning. Additional responsibilities include infrastructure automation, vulnerability assessments, and documentation for audit readiness.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimize secure network/server infrastructure
Ensure infrastructure uptime, availability, and performance
Configure firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation
Implement Zero Trust architecture principles
Ensure compliance with NDPR, NITDA, and CBN cybersecurity standards
Perform vulnerability assessments and incident response planning
Manage cloud infrastructure and virtualization environments
Develop CI/CD pipelines and automation using tools like Terraform and Ansible
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, DevSecOps, product)
Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure systems
Mentor junior staff and support cross-departmental knowledge sharing

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5–7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or cybersecurity roles
Proficient in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching protocols
Experience with enterprise firewalls (Cisco, Check Point, Palo Alto)
Strong Linux systems experience (CentOS, Red Hat)
Familiarity with 2FA/MFA systems and regulatory compliance
Scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Knowledge of tools like Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
