Job Description
The role involves overseeing IT infrastructure, system integration, and application support critical to business operations. The successful candidate will manage Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 ERP platforms, support Java-based enterprise applications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance IT-driven automation and data flow. Responsibilities include enforcing cybersecurity standards, managing vendor relationships, IT budgeting, and staying abreast of emerging technologies relevant to the oil and gas sector. Leadership and mentoring of IT personnel are essential, along with policy development for IT operations and disaster recovery.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead IT strategy and operations across upstream and downstream activities
Manage and optimize Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 ERP systems
Oversee development and support of Java-based in-house applications
Collaborate with business units to identify IT needs and improve operational workflows
Ensure cybersecurity, data integrity, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
Lead and mentor the internal IT team and manage external vendors/service providers
Develop and manage IT budgets, procurement processes, and vendor contracts
Design and enforce IT policies on operations, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to keep IT infrastructure future-ready

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Minimum 10 years’ IT experience with at least 4 years in a managerial/leadership role, preferably in oil and gas
Proven expertise with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 ERP (implementation, customization, support)
Strong knowledge of Java-based enterprise applications and IT infrastructure
Familiarity with upstream (E&P) and downstream systems in oil and gas
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
Strong understanding of cybersecurity and risk management in industrial environments
Preferred Certifications:
Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals / Functional Consultant
ITIL, PMP, or equivalent project management certification
Experience with SCADA, GIS, or other oil and gas-specific technologies
Exposure to DevOps and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
