Job Description
The Marketing and Communications Assistant will assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns and events. This role includes creating and editing content for multiple platforms, supporting social media and website updates, evaluating campaign performance, and contributing to graphic design projects. The assistant will collaborate with various departments to meet project objectives and will provide administrative and project support for the marketing team. The role also involves photography, video editing, and supporting the management of digital assets and databases.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Support planning, implementation, and monitoring of marketing campaigns.
Assist in producing marketing materials and collateral.
Help organize marketing events such as webinars, trade shows, and conferences.
Analyze data and create performance reports to evaluate campaign efficiency and trends.
Write and edit content for social media, websites, and press releases.
Provide administrative and project support for marketing initiatives.
Support photography and video editing tasks.
Prepare artwork and graphic content for marketing materials (e.g., social media, brochures).
Assist in maintaining the website, social media pages, and digital databases.
Collaborate with the Marketing Officer and department heads to understand project needs, timelines, and budgets.
Support management of institutional graphic design work, printing, and production.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing or Business Administration.
Experience:
At least 2 years of relevant experience in marketing or communications.
Certification in Graphic Design (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Skills and Competencies:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Proficiency in graphic design software.
Keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
Organizational and multitasking abilities.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Must demonstrate Christian values.
