About the Role
Kray Microfinance Ltd is seeking a passionate and creative Marketing and Brand Officer to enhance the visibility, growth, and impact of the Kray brand. The role involves executing marketing, branding, and communication initiatives that attract new customers, strengthen brand presence, and drive adoption of Kray’s financial products — Loans, Savings, and Investments.
The successful candidate will ensure consistent and professional brand representation across branches, digital platforms, and events.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
1. Marketing Execution & Coordination
- Implement marketing and communication plans aligned with Kray’s business strategy. 
- Coordinate branch-level promotions, campaigns, and product activations to increase awareness and customer acquisition. 
- Maintain a marketing calendar to ensure timely delivery of events and campaigns. 
- Collaborate with Branch Managers and Product Leads to enhance product visibility and customer engagement. 
- Prepare business proposals for marketing partnerships, sponsorships, and events for management review. 
2. Brand Management
- Safeguard Kray’s brand identity and ensure consistent use of logos, colors, and messaging. 
- Conduct regular brand audits across branches, social media pages, and marketing materials, and recommend improvements. 
- Support the rollout of brand guidelines across all internal and external communication touchpoints. 
- Develop creative concepts, visuals, and stories that reinforce Kray’s brand message — “Today, Tomorrow, Together.” 
3. Digital Marketing & Communications
- Manage Kray’s social media presence — plan content, publish updates, engage followers, and monitor performance metrics. 
- Support digital campaigns for key products such as Kabox Kusimu and 120 Days. 
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer and stakeholder inquiries online. 
- Create digital content (graphics, videos, posts) that highlights Kray’s products and community impact. 
- Track digital trends and insights to improve Kray’s online engagement strategy. 
4. Events, Promotions & Sponsorships
- Organize branding, booth setups, and promotional materials for corporate events, activations, and exhibitions. 
- Ensure Kray’s branding is professional and visible at all sponsored or partnered events. 
- Measure event performance by tracking new leads, conversions, and partnership engagements. 
- Prepare post-event summaries and visual reports for management and partners. 
5. Internal Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with Relationship Officers, Branch Managers, and Product Leads to align marketing efforts with sales targets. 
- Share regular updates on campaign results, social media performance, and marketing insights. 
- Maintain organized marketing records, reports, photos, and dashboards. 
- Support internal brand culture through staff communication materials and updates. 
6. Budget & Compliance
- Monitor marketing expenditures to ensure cost efficiency and adherence to approved budgets. 
- Liaise with suppliers, printers, and media vendors while ensuring value for money. 
- Ensure all marketing materials comply with Kray’s brand standards and ethical guidelines. 
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, branding, or communications (preferably within microfinance, banking, or fintech). 
- Strong skills in social media management, content creation, and campaign coordination. 
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Ads). 
- Excellent communication, presentation, and creative writing abilities. 
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
