Job Description
The Manager Data & Insights will report to the Head Strategy, Data & Projects and will be based at Head office. He/ she will be responsible for leading and institutionalizing Pride Bank5 s enterprise data, analytics, and insights capability by ensuring the availability of high-quality, trusted, and well-governed data that supports strategic, operational, regulatory, and decision-making needs across the Bank. Accountable for data architecture oversight, analytics enablement, enterprise reporting, and advanced insights, while embedding data governance, data literacy, and responsible data use aligned to the Bank’s strategy and risk appetite.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include: –
- Define and implement Pride Bank’s data and analytics strategy and roadmap, aligned to the corporate strategy and transformation agenda.
- Provide oversight of enterprise data architecture, including data platforms, warehouses, and analytics environments, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Lead and develop the Data & Insights team, setting priorities, performance targets, and capability development plans.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data pipelines and platforms that support analytics, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure effective integration of data from core banking systems, digital platforms, and external sources.
- Promote automation, standardization, and resilience of data pipelines to improve reliability and reduce operational risk.
- Enable advanced analytics, data science, and business intelligence use cases that support strategic planning, risk management, customer insights, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the development of enterprise dashboards, management reports, and analytical outputs for EXCO, Board Committees, and Business Units.
- Ensure analytical insights are actionable, interpretable, and aligned to agreed performance metrics and business priorities.
- Establish and enforce enterprise data governance standards, including data quality, metadata, lineage, access controls, and ownership.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, regulatory, and audit requirements, working closely with Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit. Oversee data quality monitoring, issue resolution, and remediation processes to maintain trusted data assets.
- Coordinate the delivery of enterprise performance and regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
- Support Strategy & Transformation and Finance with performance analytics, forecasting insights, and management information.
- Enable self-service analytics and reporting, supported by clear standards, documentation, and user enablement
- Drive data literacy, data democratization, and analytics adoption across the Bank through training, tools, and engagement.
- Promote a culture of evidence-based decision-making, continuous improvement, and responsible data use.
- Establish reusable analytics assets, data products, and best practices within the Data & Insights function.
- Stay current with emerging data, analytics, AI, and cloud technologies, assessing relevance and value for Pride Bank.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to advance the Bank’s data maturity and analytics capability.
