Job Title: Manager, Strategy & Partnerships

Reports To: Chief People & Strategy Officer

Job Purpose

The Manager, Strategy & Partnerships plays a critical role in shaping the Bank’s strategic direction by leading the formulation, communication, execution, and monitoring of strategic initiatives. This role is also responsible for enhancing the Bank’s investment readiness, overseeing strategic partnerships, and driving alignment between corporate strategy and national development priorities.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Lead the development of PostBank’s medium- and long-term strategic plans in collaboration with business units and senior leadership.

  • Conduct strategic analyses, including PESTLE, SWOT, market trends, and competitor intelligence, to inform the Bank’s positioning and future direction.

  • Align strategic goals with national development agendas, evolving customer needs, and trends in financial services such as digitization, financial inclusion, and sustainability.

  • Translate high-level strategic goals into actionable plans, complete with KPIs, milestones, and accountability frameworks.

  • Monitor execution of strategic initiatives, track performance, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage strategic partnerships and development collaborations to support the Bank’s growth and mission.

  • Assess partner proposals, business cases, and synergy potential, including risk and value analysis.

  • Oversee implementation of partnership agreements, ensuring compliance with obligations on both sides.

  • Serve as a key liaison in strategic engagements with regulators, government agencies, and development partners.

Sustainability Integration

  • Lead the integration of sustainability goals into the Bank’s strategic framework, ensuring they support business growth and meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in strategy development, corporate planning, or investment management—preferably within the financial services or a regulated sector.

  • Strong understanding of banking trends, digital finance, and sustainability.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA, MSc in Strategy, Finance, or Investment Management).

  • Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA.

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives or business transformation projects.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work independently at a strategic level.
