The Motorcenter East Africa Ltd started as Go Nissan Ltd in 2005 as a dealership for Nissan vehicles and Suzuki motorcycles. The 3-S dealership with sales, service and showroom facilities had a mandate to promote and manage the Nissan brand in the Entebbe area. By mid 2006, the Entebbe market was saturated and as part of the growth strategy it was decided to expand our product and geographical mandate. We sourced for brands that would bring value for money to our market, and entered into distributor agreements with manufacturers in China and Thailand.

Job Description

The Logistics Assistant will support the smooth operation of the company’s logistics and supply chain processes. This role involves coordinating the movement of goods, assisting with inventory management, and ensuring timely delivery of parts and vehicles.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and coordinating the movement of vehicles, parts, and other goods
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and stock levels
  • Support inventory control and ensure efficient warehouse organization
  • Track and report on logistics performance, including delays and discrepancies
  • Coordinate with suppliers, drivers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist in loading, unloading, and transportation of goods when required
  • Adhere to safety and compliance standards in all logistics activities
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors
