Job Description
The LIT TRAIN Finance Manager will support the delivery of CBC training components by ensuring effective financial planning and control. Responsibilities include overseeing project financial systems, managing budgets for British Council and partner activities, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role involves monitoring financial performance, preparing reports, engaging stakeholders, and maintaining audit-ready documentation. The position also acts as the main finance liaison within the TRAIN Pillar and with corporate finance departments.

How to Apply
Lead financial planning, cash flow management, and forecasting for the TRAIN Pillar.
Monitor and reconcile project budgets using SAP and British Council tools.
Coordinate financial activities with partners, vendors, and consultants.
Produce accurate monthly reports on financial performance and risk.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and contractual obligations.
Maintain a complete and visible audit trail across project financial activities.
Liaise with country and regional finance teams to ensure effective integration with corporate financial systems.
Support procurement, grants, and service contracts in line with donor and organizational policies.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar finance role.
English proficiency (CEFR Level B2).
Experience in international project finance management.
Experience working with outsourced providers and partner-led projects.
Strong knowledge of procurement and contracting.
Desirable:
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or CIPFA.
Experience with SAP.
Familiarity with donor rules (e.g., GIZ, EU).
Knowledge of grants and civil society organization (CSO) financing.
