Job Description
The Admin & Finance Officer will provide strategic and hands-on leadership in customer relations, finance, inventory, billing, and office management. The successful candidate will handle financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, compliance audits, employee performance reviews, and stakeholder communication. This role requires a proactive and solutions-oriented professional with strong interpersonal, administrative, and financial management skills. Familiarity with e-commerce systems and Ugandan labor laws is essential.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate teams in customer service, inventory, billing, and delivery
Resolve escalated customer issues and promote long-term client satisfaction
Manage department-specific budgets and optimize financial resource allocation
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting
Coordinate external audits and ensure regulatory compliance
Oversee payroll processing and employee benefits administration
Maintain workplace harmony through effective communication and conflict resolution
Lead performance appraisal processes and support employee growth
Manage office maintenance and enforce safety and security protocols
Maintain external communication with partners and stakeholders
Design and implement public relations strategies
Identify and coordinate external training opportunities for staff development
Conduct compliance audits and implement risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a similar role in administration, operations, or finance
Experience in the e-commerce industry is an added advantage
Skills and Competencies:
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with financial management software is preferred
Knowledge of Ugandan labor laws and compliance frameworks
Fluency in English and Luganda (additional languages are a plus)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
